BOC Week 5: Mens hairstyles

Bald: Some well known celebrities have gone the route of just shaving it all off, and have found that it worked for them. A good example of this would be Bruce Willis. He is a good looking bald man and I wouldn’t prefer it any other way.
360 Waves: 360 waves are popular amongst African American men. The style is named for the natural pattern of tight waves and ridges that form a 360 pattern.
Bowl Cuts: Bowl cuts are hairstyles that originated from placing a bowl on top of a young man’s head and then cutting the hair that falls beneath the edge. It became more popularized during The Great Depression when a young man’s hair needed to be cut since there was no money to be spent on haircuts.
Dreadlocks: This style is also known as having dreads. It consists of matted and knotted strands of hair. Dreadlocks can be a controversial hairstyle due to the fact that they are associated with Rastafarian and African culture. It became popular amongst many rock stars.
Spikes – When the hair is worn in a series of spikes that can either be short or long. Spikes are different than a Mohawk because it extends down the center of the head.
